This design brief by Stranger & Stranger aims to elevate the bespoke spirits packaging of an existing liquor brand. The current packaging does not fully reflect the distinctive identity of Amur Spirits, a Far East Russian vodka, prompting a rebrand that foregrounds its heritage and narrative.

The vodka line is named Amba, meaning “tiger” in the language of the Udege tribe of Far East Russia. In regional mythology, Amba is the “Guardian of the Forest,” watching over the mountains and woodlands. The packaging illustrates this ancient, mythic landscape.

The primary challenge of the project lies in its illustration-heavy approach, requiring careful planning and phased execution to meet deadlines. The design process draws inspiration from immersive visualisation of the Far East Russian forest environment.
