Details
Just My Type gives me a lot of creative freedom to do whatever I want with types— all you do is create something out of type. I chose to manipulate type and incorporated them into my character designs to tell a story of the Royal Court, including the first 3 characters in the series King, Chef, and Royal Fool. The poster series portrays each character in their environment and their duties while integrating typography into the character design and environment. One challenging aspect of this project is to keep the visuals coherent between the 3 characters. Therefore, I had to figure out the balance of details among all 3 posters with the Taiga King as the standard. The completion of this project is rewarding as I get to incorporate more of my erratic illustration style in professional graphic design works.

A brief synopsis on the backstory
In a faraway land, countless wild beasts run rampant and are ready to devour each other. Yet, the mightiest and most victorious of them all, King Taiga, rules his territory with supreme authority and justice. All beasts fear him. To the subjects who are loyal to him and serve him selflessly— the Royal Court — the King protects.
